From the beloved first series of Little Golden Book is The Poky Little Puppy by Janette Sebring Lowrey written in 1942. This figure of the puppy came out as a promotion about a decade later as the book maintained it's popularity (there are still toys to this book being made today!). Made by Maddux, one of the many Los Angeles based ceramics companies in the mid century, and is in perfect condition, amazing for a 70 year old figurine. Measures about 4" tall and 6" long.
